30 day fitness challege – Days 1

Friday, March 1.
Starting weight is 154.
Woke up at 5:30am and went to the gym. I ran 1 mile and then I did weight training for my legs.
I had a vegan protein shake for breakfast and lunch. I made my shake with milk and put in 1/2 a banana, teaspoon of peanute butter and spinach. In between meals 1 and 2 I drank 32 oz of water. After meal 2 I drank 32oz of water mixed with a detox tea. For dinner I had 2 cups of orange chicken. After dinner I drank another 32 oz of water. Just before bed I had one cup of greek yogurt with a handful of almonds.
Leading experts say that the best way to lose weight and see results is to do at least 20 minutes of cardio five to six times a week in addition to weight training three to four times a week.
We must all remember that this is not about what the scale says. We lose fat and want to replace it with muscle. Muscle is heavier than fat. So we may be losing but we are replacing and therefore at times our weight will remain the same. During this process it is important to take measurements of certain areas of your body. That is where you will see the biggest difference.
